On September 13, Deng Maicun, member and general secretary of Party Group of CAS, held an exchange with Guo Yuanqiang, secretary of Zhuhai Municipal Party Committee. The two parties reached consensus on further implementation of strategic deployment concerning expansion and development of entity economy driven by innovation, deepening of cooperation between CAS and Zhuhai City, backup on clustering development of entrepreneurial and creative talents and scientific research platform in Zhuhai so as to lead to more cooperative result.
After that, Deng Maicun came over to Zhuhai CAS Advanced Technologies Academy (short as Zhuhai Advanced Academy). Wu Chuangzhi, director of Guangzhou Branch of CAS, Yang Jianhua, secretary of Party Committee of CAS Shenzhen Advanced Technologies Academy, Zhou Zhouyu, deputy director of Guangdong Science Academy, Deng Weidong, Deputy Director of Zhuhai Municipal Bureau of Science, Industry and Technology escorted him for investigation. Su Wu, Director of Zhuhai Advanced Academy received the guests.
The delegation of Deng Maicun visited exhibition hall and lab for scientific research in Zhuhai Advanced Academy. Then the two parties held a seminar on investigation. In the seminar, Deng Maicun listened to summary report on building of Zhuhai Advanced Academy and learned the details of operational planning, development strategies, building procedure and talent team of Zhuhai Advanced Academy. Deng Maicun indicated that development and building of Zhuhai Advanced Academy responded to the call of ‘entrepreneurship and innovation’ strategic deployment of the country, aligned with building and layout of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Great Bay Area and propelled social and economic development in Zhuhai.
In accordance with the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperation Agreement during the 13th Five-Year-Plan Period signed by Guangdong Provincial People’s Government and CAS, Zhuhai Advanced Academy was a carrier for innovation jointly set up by Zhuhai City and Advanced Academy. In the follow-up year, Zhuhai Advanced Academy is to intensify international cooperation and exchange, build a parallel innovation center and scientific research center, propel transfer of major projects and forge innovative highlight and industrial cluster in the High-tech District. Furthermore, Zhuhai Advanced Academy will accelerate building of new parks, expand incubation area of the Park and propel industrialization of scientific research results.
